"Inside/Out" (2018) is a multi-channel video installation in conversation with Ripple, a sculptural intervention by collaborative team Havel and Ruck Projects. Hunter creates site-specific films that are projected throughout the interior of the bungalow. Hunter's work observes the exposed framework of the home and the natural beauty surrounding it. In response, Hunter's Inside/Out layers lush greenery over the bare walls with her films of grass, pine needles, and leaves, which we sometimes forget are alive. As Ripple remind us how we grow the spaces that shape our lives, Inside/Out asks us to consider the planted environment that grows with us.
Eight separate films play roughly 5 minute loops in rooms throughout the bungalow.
