Exploring Sawyer Yards (2021) is a site-specific 17.5 minute video silent looping video installation commissioned by Greystar for "Arthouse," a new apartment building in Houston’s Sawyer Yards neighborhood. This work, 9 feet high spanning 30 feet wide, focuses on the industrial area surrounded by freight train activity, art studios, and a converted grain silo factory. I spent over a year and a half creating this site-specific work in which I explore the neighborhood and capture the aurora of its past history and creativity of its current residents.
